Maurizio Mottadelli to depart pastoral community after 18 years

Don Maurizio Mottadelli is concluding his eighteen-year tenure leading the San Giovanni Battista pastoral community, which encompasses the parishes of Oggiono, Imberido, Annone, and Ello.

A farewell celebration is scheduled for September 13, featuring a community mass of thanksgiving at the Oggiono parish church, followed by a presentation of gifts, a video tribute, and a concert by the Oggiono Musical Corps.

The Lions Club Castello Brianza Laghi has issued a formal letter of gratitude, praising Mottadelli for his collaboration on local initiatives such as the illuminated nativity scene and summer performances in Piazza Alta. The club specifically highlighted his commitment to preserving local historical and artistic heritage, including the restoration of the Church of Sant’Agata, the Madonna fresco between Sant’Eufemia and Santa Caterina, and the Polittico of Marco d’Oggiono.
