Maurizio Zamparini estate dispute reaches Busto Arsizio court

A legal battle has erupted over the estate of the late businessman and former football club president Maurizio Zamparini. The dispute, heard at the Busto Arsizio Court, involves a conflict between his four children from his first marriage and his second wife, Laura Giordani.

The disagreement centers on the true value of the inheritance and the validity of competing wills. While formal inventories initially recorded approximately 9 million euros, estimates regarding the total wealth—built through the retail chain Mercatone Zeta—range significantly, with some figures cited as high as 250 million euros.

To prevent the dissipation of assets, judges have ordered a double precautionary seizure of certain assets. A third-party judicial custodian has been appointed to manage the holdings while the court investigates conflicting claims, including assets allegedly transferred to the children during Zamparini's lifetime and various testamentary documents.
