Mauro Buschini quits Frosinone waste board, Luca Fantini named successor

Mauro Buschini submitted his resignation from the board of SAF, the waste‑management company that serves the 91 municipalities of the Province of Frosinone. His departure ends a three‑year tenure during which SAF cut personnel costs by one million euros and eliminated landfill disposal, shifting the province’s waste stream to energy recovery.

Luca Fantini, the former provincial secretary of the Democratic Party, was appointed to replace Buschini. Fantini is highlighted for his mediation abilities, deemed essential for coordinating the diverse interests of the 91 local mayors. At the same time, Buschini is moving to Rome to serve as vice‑chief of the cabinet of the Metropolitan City under Mayor Roberto Gualtieri.
