Mauro Corona discusses personal history and new book
Italian writer and sculptor Mauro Corona has shared deeply personal reflections during an interview on the program Verissimo. Discussing his new book, ‘Felice’, Corona addressed his complex personal history, including a childhood marked by poverty and domestic violence inflicted by his father.
Corona spoke emotionally about the tragic death of his brother, who died at age 17 after a suspected altercation. He also addressed his personal character, describing himself as possessive and verbally violent, stating that he seeks self-forgiveness rather than the forgiveness of others.
Regarding his private life, Corona clarified his current relationship status. While he has a new 52-year-old partner living in Tuscany, he remains married to his wife, Francesca De Damiani, noting that they maintain a close but independent living arrangement. He previously described their marriage as an open relationship, emphasizing honesty over traditional fidelity.
