The Tribunal civile di Milano, presided over by judge Cristina Bassi, granted Wanda Nara’s request to issue new passports for her minor daughters, Francesca and Isabella, even though former footballer Mauro Icardi refused to sign the documents. The decision follows a recent burglary at Nara’s villa in Galliate, where the girls’ passports were stolen, prompting the urgent need for replacement travel papers. Bassi ruled that the father’s refusal was “unjustified” and not in the minors’ interest, and ordered Icardi to pay the legal expenses incurred.

Icardi posted on Instagram after the ruling, calling the judgment “the best news I could receive” while reiterating his long‑standing opposition to his daughters living in Argentina and to signing the passport paperwork. He said the case is part of an ongoing international restitution process for the children, who have been residing in Argentina since September 2024 and will now be able to return.

The decree is immediately executable, allowing the passports to be issued without the father’s consent.
