Mauro Icardi barred from World Cup 2026 matches in US over alimony debt

Mauro Icardi and his partner Eugenia “la China” Suárez, who were recently in Japan, may be prevented from attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches held in the United States. A collaboration between the Buenos Aires city government and U.S. authorities is said to prohibit anyone registered as an alimony debtor from entering World Cup venues in the United States. As a result, Icardi – whose house has been seized amid the debt case – could travel but would be barred from the stadiums.
