Mauro Icardi evaluates Galatasaray's contract offer as clubs from Japan and MLS show interest

Galatasaray has presented Argentine striker Mauro Icardi with a 1 + 1‑year contract that includes a base salary of €4 million per season, potentially rising to €6.5 million through performance bonuses tied to appearances, goals or assists, plus additional payments for league titles and Champions League progress. Icardi’s agent confirmed the offer and the club expects his decision within the week.

Icardi is also weighing interest from other suitors. Kashima Antlers in Japan reportedly offered $3 million a year, which he declined. Major League Soccer side Orlando City, Brazil’s Fluminense and Atlético Mineiro, and Mexico’s Club América have all expressed interest. Icardi has stated he would prefer a two‑year contract and a partnership with fellow forward Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray.

Galatasaray’s management says Icardi’s response will shape their upcoming transfer plans, especially as the future of Victor Osimhen also remains uncertain.
