Mauro Icardi linked to Everton and Olympiakos amid free agency

Free agent striker Mauro Icardi, following his departure from Galatasaray, is the subject of intense transfer speculation involving several European and South American clubs.

Reports indicate that English Premier League side Everton is in advanced negotiations with the 33-year-old Argentine. Some sources suggest a deal is imminent, potentially involving a 1+1 year contract. However, other reports suggest that while interest exists, formal discussions or official offers may still be pending.

In addition to Everton, Olympiakos in Greece has emerged as a strong contender, seeking to address an attacking crisis caused by injuries. The Greek club has reportedly made contact with Icardi, who is seeking at least a two-year deal. Other clubs expressing interest include Brazil's Atlético Mineiro, as well as Lazio and Parma in Italy, though negotiations with the latter appear less certain.
