Mauro Mendes defends Parque Novo Mato Grosso against criticism

Senate candidate Mauro Mendes has defended the development of the Parque Novo Mato Grosso against critics, drawing parallels to the Parque das Águas in Cuiabá. Mendes noted that both projects faced initial scrutiny regarding investment priorities and costs during his previous terms in public office.

He argued that large-scale projects should be judged by their long-term value rather than immediate criticism. Mendes pointed out that while the Parque das Águas was once questioned, it has since become an established leisure and event space for families in Cuiabá.

The new Parque Novo Mato Grosso is designed to include a family park with free access, featuring playgrounds, landscaping, and covered areas. The complex will also host events, sports, and tourism activities, and will include a lake and food service areas.
