Mauro Mussono Quintet Performs ‘Tempo’ at Abbey of Pomposa in Codigoro

On Thursday, 6 August, the Mauro Mussono Quintet staged a concert at the Parco San Guido Abate of the Abbey of Pomposa in Codigoro, Italy, at 21:15. The performance was part of the 26th Emilia Romagna Festival’s Musica Pomposa series and featured the group’s new project “Tempo,” the bassist’s third album comprising nine tracks that explore different facets of time.

The concert followed a guided tour of the abbey at 18:00, and attendance required a reservation by calling the IAT office at 0533 719110. The quintet’s lineup included Mauro Mussono on double‑bass, Simone La Maida (flute/saxophone), Massimo Morganti (trombone), Massimiliano Rocchetta (piano) and Manuel Giovannetti (drums). Mussono, a noted Italian jazz bassist and composer, has performed with artists such as Buster Williams and Benny Golson.
