Mauro Nigro wins Best Cinematography at Movie&Short Festival

Mauro Nigro, a cinematographer from Calabria, has won the Best Cinematography award for the short film ‘Amigdala’ at the inaugural Movie&Short Festival. The award was shared ex aequo with the Canadian production ‘Will’ by Clara Altimas.

Hosted at Spazio Elle in Locarno and organized by Dailybloid.com, the festival featured international talent and a jury including director Marco Calvani, director Giovanna Nodari, author Glenn Cooper, actor Giuseppe Bonifati, and industry expert Nicole Muji.

In addition to the cinematography prize, the Canadian film ‘Will’ secured multiple honors, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Direction, Best Soundtrack, and Best Actor for Ed Pinker. The Fellini Foundation also presented awards, including the Maestro Prize to Raul Quagliata for ‘La prima spiaggia’ and a Special Mention to Marcel Büchi for ‘La Verità’.
