Mauro Zelayeta signs with Léleman Conqueridor

Argentine volleyball player Mauro Zelayeta has signed with Léleman Conqueridor for the 2026-2027 Superliga season. The 26-year-old outside hitter joins the Valencia-based club following a successful stint with Ciudad Vóley, where he helped secure the Argentine División de Honor title in August 2026.

Zelayeta, who was named best outside hitter at the 2021 and 2023 Pan American Games and during the 2024/2025 Argentine League season, noted that the move to Valencia had been discussed for several seasons. He cited the club's professionalism and his familiarity with the city as key factors in finalizing the deal.

Having previously played in Spain for Pamesa Teruel, Zelayeta is experienced with the Spanish Superliga. His goals for the upcoming season include reaching the Superliga semifinals and qualifying for the Copa del Rey.
