Mauroa authorities launch water system repairs and community consultations
Authorities in the Mauroa municipality of Falcón state, Venezuela, have launched a public services deployment aimed at strengthening the regional water system. The initiative involves repairing leaks and removing illegal connections across three work fronts stretching from Maticora to Río Seco. These interventions are intended to improve water pressure and flow for five western Falcón municipalities, the Paraguaná peninsula, and parts of the Miranda municipality.
In a separate community engagement effort, local and national officials, including Governor Victor Clark and Vice Minister Jhon Alonzo, held an assembly in Mauroa to prepare for the 2nd National Popular Consultation 2026. This participatory democracy mechanism allows local communes and community councils to decide on the allocation of resources for priority projects. The assembly emphasized the role of organized community power in regional management and resource investment.
