Maven Robotics raises $100 million to scale industrial automation
Santa Clara-based startup Maven Robotics has emerged from stealth mode following a $100 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures, and XTX Markets Ventures.
The company is developing general-purpose mobile robotics designed for industrial material handling and assembly. Their current systems utilize wheeled bases, travel at speeds up to 10 miles per hour, and feature two arms capable of lifting up to 30 kilograms. A primary application for the technology is mixed palletizing, which involves reorganizing boxes from various sources into specific pallet configurations for retail distribution.
Founded in 2024 by CEO Hamza Derbas and CFO Khalid Derbas, the company aims to automate end-to-end industrial workflows rather than isolated tasks. Maven Robotics plans to use the new capital to scale its fleet, with goals to build 250 third-generation robots and begin designing a fourth-generation platform. The company reports that its existing robots currently operate up to 16 hours per day with a minimum uptime of 99 percent.
