Maverick Viñales Says He No Longer Knows His Place with KTM

Spanish MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales publicly accused KTM of leaving him in the dark about his future. After learning from the press that he will not take part in the 2027 850 cc prototype test at Brno, he said, “I don’t even know where I am,” and expressed frustration over a contract clause that prevents him from signing with another team until the end of June.

Viñales, who is nursing a shoulder injury, warned that he may consider leaving MotoGP altogether, stating, “If I leave here, I will just enjoy life.” The lack of communication from KTM, which also favoured rookie Pedro Acosta for the test, has raised doubts about Viñales' role for the 2027 season and sparked broader criticism of the factory’s rider‑management approach.
