Maverick Viñales struggles with shoulder injury and team tensions at Sachsenring

Spanish MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales arrived at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany to contest the sprint race but was hampered by a lingering shoulder problem and a dispute with his KTM‑Tech 3 team. He qualified near the back, started 19th on the grid and finished last, citing a lack of front‑wheel grip and difficulty controlling the bike through corners.

Viñales explained that a displaced screw from a recent shoulder operation still limits his strength, especially on left‑hand turns, and that he feels unsupported by KTM after a contract that was reportedly withdrawn. The rider said he does not intend to speak further with team officials, focusing instead on recovering form for the remaining season.

The difficulties raise questions about his future with the factory‑linked Tech 3 outfit, as KTM appears to be planning replacements for upcoming seasons while Viñales seeks to regain competitiveness.
