Mława murder case: Recovered footage reveals details of 16-year-old's death

Forensic experts have successfully recovered deleted surveillance footage detailing the brutal murder of 16-year-old Maja from Mława, Poland. The recordings, which were previously erased, provide graphic evidence of the crime committed by 17-year-old Bartosz G.

The recovered video shows the suspect dragging the victim by her hair and attacking her with a stick and a shovel. The footage further reveals an attempt to dispose of the body by placing it in a plastic trash bin and attempting to burn it with a gas torch. During these actions, the suspect was observed petting a dog.

Bartosz G. faces charges of murder with extreme cruelty and could face up to 30 years in prison. The evidence from the recovered footage contradicts previous claims made by the suspect's mother, who had suggested the death might have been an accidental fall. The victim's body was discovered in the brush following a week-long search after she went missing in April 2025.
