The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has announced several initiatives to foster scientific talent in Saudi Arabia.

Registration for the 2026 Bebras Mawhiba competition in informatics is open from October 6 to November 22, 2026. Targeting students from third grade primary to third grade secondary, the international competition focuses on computational thinking and problem-solving. Participants can utilize the interactive “Bebras Library” to practice logical thinking and algorithmic principles through remote electronic testing.

Additionally, the first edition of the National Giftedness Olympiad has concluded its registration phase. The event saw 444,134 students from 10,932 schools across the Kingdom register. Participants were divided into two tracks: the “Nesmo” scientific track with 100,095 students, and the “Ibdaa” research track with 344,039 students. The Olympiad aims to discover and develop national talents in science, mathematics, and innovation to align with Saudi Vision 2030.
