Mawhiba opens registration for 2026 World Robot Olympiad
The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has opened registration for the 2026 World Robot Olympiad. The competition is open to male and female youth aged 8 to 22 from all regions of Saudi Arabia.
Organized in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and Asr Robotics Company, the competition follows a multi-stage process: registration and qualification, national qualifiers, and a national final. The winner of the national final will represent the Kingdom at the global finals in Puerto Rico, joining participants from approximately 100 countries.
The 2026 theme, ‘Robots and Culture,’ focuses on using robotics and artificial intelligence to protect, restore, and digitize cultural heritage, as well as enhancing public engagement with art and history. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to develop human capabilities and empower talented students in technology and AI.
