Max Alexander sets Guinness World Record for textile line launch
Ten-year-old American designer Max Alexander has set a new Guinness World Record as the youngest person to launch a complete line of fabrics and textiles. The announcement followed a presentation in New York’s Garment District held on September 14 in collaboration with Mood Fabrics.
The collection features soft fabrics, animal prints, and satin-like finishes, all crafted from recycled polyester. Alexander utilized repurposed materials and everyday objects to create the pieces, which were displayed on mannequins for an audience of designers and industry influencers.
During the event, Alexander also secured his fourth Guinness World Record by setting a speed record for threading an automatic sewing machine, completing the task in 10.16 seconds. Currently a fifth-grade student, Alexander has been involved in fashion since age four and has previously worked with various public figures.
