Max Burgess assists stranded Newcastle Knights supporter
Ross Kilpatrick, a 71-year-old Newcastle Knights supporter, was stranded at the Morisset train station after a broken-down freight train disrupted local services. Facing the prospect of missing a game due to transport delays and heavy traffic, Kilpatrick was preparing to return to Newcastle when he was approached by two individuals.
Newcastle Jets captain Max Burgess and a passenger named Louie offered Kilpatrick a ride to the stadium. Despite initial hesitation regarding the safety of accepting a ride from strangers, Kilpatrick accepted the help, which allowed him to reach the game and turned a difficult situation into a memorable experience.
