Max Cavalera confirms Soulfly is working on new album

Max Cavalera has confirmed that Soulfly has begun developing material for the follow-up to their thirteenth studio album, ‘Chama’. In a recent interview, Cavalera stated that ‘Chama’ established a blueprint for the band’s direction over the next decade, making the upcoming record a vital continuation of that evolution.

Cavalera also praised the musicianship of his son, drummer Zyon Cavalera, noting his prominent role in the band’s current sound.

Soulfly is scheduled to embark on a 25-date U.S. tour this fall, which includes a performance at the Louder Than Life festival. The tour will feature support from Incite and Nailbomb, the latter being Cavalera’s 1990s industrial sludge/crust punk project.
