Max Granville ruled out for remainder of season at Penn State

Penn State defensive end Max Granville will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury sustained during practice. Head coach Matt Campbell confirmed the news following the team’s 27-9 victory over Temple.

Granville, a redshirt sophomore, had recently returned to action after missing the entire 2025 campaign with a summer injury. He appeared in the season opener against Marshall, recording two pressures and a pass breakup in 22 snaps.

Campbell described the injury as a “really tough blow” for both the player and the team, noting Granville’s importance to the squad’s unity and character. Due to the nature of the injury, Granville is not expected to return to the field until at least 2027.
