Max Greenfield praises Taylor Swift’s acting in New Girl cameo

Actor Max Greenfield praised Taylor Swift’s acting abilities during a recent appearance on the Therapuss podcast with host Jake Shane. Greenfield reflected on Swift’s 2013 cameo in the season two finale of the Fox sitcom New Girl, titled “Elaine’s Big Day.”

Greenfield stated that Swift, who played a wedding guest named Elaine, was “a better actor than all of us,” referring to the show's main cast. He recalled that while Swift was already famous at the time, she had not yet reached her current level of global stardom, noting she was very kind to the crew and cast on set.

During the podcast, Greenfield also shared an anecdote about asking Swift whether she preferred playing for intimate audiences or large arenas. He noted that she responded immediately, saying, “If you could fill the ocean with people, I’d like to play for that.”

Other cast members have also commented on Swift’s presence on set. Jake Johnson, who played Nick Miller, previously noted in a podcast that Swift was sweet and easily integrated with the cast despite her massive celebrity status.
