Max Mackinnon leads Brisbane Bullets to victory over Illawarra Hawks

Max Mackinnon recorded a career-high performance to lead the Brisbane Bullets to a 103-95 victory over the Illawarra Hawks during Round 2 of the NBL27 season. The 22-year-old rookie contributed 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six three-pointers at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Mackinnon, the son of NBL legend Sam Mackinnon, noted the significance of playing in his hometown. Bullets head coach Will Weaver highlighted Mackinnon’s defensive intensity and rebounding ability, noting that his effort on the boards helped the team maintain pace and secure the win despite a late scoring push from the Hawks.
