Ohio Representative Max Miller is facing scrutiny regarding both his political stances and personal legal battles. In a recent interview, Miller claimed that “the economy is actually doing very well right now,” a statement made amid concerns from constituents regarding rising costs for groceries, healthcare, and fuel.

Separately, Miller is involved in a contentious custody battle following his divorce from Emily Moreno. During a Cuyahoga County family court hearing, Miller issued a veiled threat toward his former father-in-law, Senator Bernie Moreno, suggesting he possesses information the senator would prefer remain private.

Court filings and police reports include allegations from Emily Moreno regarding physical abuse, including claims that Miller threw her against a wall and held a gun to her head. Miller has refuted these claims, characterizing some incidents as “horseplay.” The legal dispute also involves allegations regarding injuries sustained by their daughter while in Miller’s care.
