Max Miller faces legal disputes following divorce from Emily Moreno

Republican U.S. Representative Max Miller of Ohio is facing a public legal battle following his divorce from Emily Moreno, daughter of Republican Senator Bernie Moreno. Although their divorce was finalized in June 2025, the former spouses remain embroiled in a contentious dispute regarding the custody and parenting arrangements of their daughter.

During the legal proceedings, Moreno has leveled serious allegations against Miller, including an incident from New Year’s Eve 2023 where she claims he held a gun to her head. Miller has denied all allegations of abuse. Additionally, legal tensions escalated in September 2026 when Moreno’s attorneys raised concerns regarding whether Miller used Meta smart glasses to secretly record them during a court proceeding, an accusation Miller also denies.
