Max Muncy named Gold Glove finalist amid Dodgers NLCS struggles

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy has been named a 2026 Gold Glove finalist alongside teammate Andy Pages. Muncy’s nomination follows a season in which he showed defensive improvement, posting a 0 fielding run value and tying for sixth among qualified third basemen with two defensive runs saved. He faces competition from Alex Bregman of the Chicago Cubs and Javier Sanoja of the Miami Marlins.

In a separate development during the National League Championship Series, the Dodgers fell into a three-games-to-none deficit against the Milwaukee Brewers following a 6-2 loss in Game 3. Following the defeat, Muncy expressed frustration with the team's performance, stating, “We’re playing like s***, and they’re playing great.” The Dodgers now face the challenge of attempting to win four consecutive games to avoid elimination.
