Max Norman uses comedic persona to lead interactive art history tours

Comedian Max Norman has developed an interactive art history tour persona named Coco, described as a ‘time-traveling tart’. The character leads engaging and factual tours through galleries in London and other locations.

During the recent Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the persona performed at the National Galleries of Scotland. The tour, described as a ‘cheeky romp’, uses humor and physical movement—such as curtsying to portraits of British royalty or reenacting historical lessons—to uncover the personal stories and absurdities behind classical artworks.
