MAX Power discovers hydrogen‑rich rock layers at Lawson drilling site in Saskatchewan

MAX Power Mining Corp.'s drilling program at the Lawson Natural Hydrogen complex near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, has identified additional fractures enriched with natural hydrogen. The operation achieved a 100 % core recovery rate and extended drilling beyond the originally planned depth, reaching a total of 2,397 m. Cores from the Deadwood Formation and Precambrian rocks showed the highest gas measurements recorded at the site, with continuous natural hydrogen and helium peaks beginning just below 1,500 m.

The extracted core samples have been sent to AGAT Laboratories in Calgary for detailed analysis. Chief Geoscientist Steve Halabura said the high hydrogen readings are linked to the newly discovered fractures and highlighted the team's efficiency in obtaining more core material from the basal complex than any previous Saskatchewan drill. MAX Power plans to issue an update in the week of 3 August.
