MAX Power Mining reports progress at Saskatchewan natural hydrogen well

MAX Power Mining announced that drilling at its Lawson 2 well in Saskatchewan has reached a measured depth of 2,370 meters. The operation, part of a multi‑well commercial validation program for Canada’s first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system, encountered a hydrogen‑rich fracture zone and paused before a second coring phase. Company officials said hydrogen readings are stronger and more continuous than those from the original Lawson discovery, with supporting helium spikes and geological data.

The program will evaluate flow, concentration and reservoir characteristics needed for commercial development. Completion testing and independent review by engineering firm GLJ Ltd. are planned. MAX Power controls roughly 1,852 km² along the Genesis Trend, which it views as highly prospective for additional natural hydrogen accumulations.
