Max Russi intervenes to suspend evictions in Cuiabá

Residents of the Villas das Minas and Lavras do Sutil I and II residential complexes in Cuiabá have seen a suspension of eviction orders following intervention by State Deputy Max Russi. The legal conflict originated from the bankruptcy of Trese Construtora e Incorporadora Ltda. and intensified after Trunk Gestão Empresarial acquired the developments through a judicial auction.

Previously, a civil court decision had authorized the eviction of hundreds of families, including the potential use of police force. In response, Max Russi petitioned the Corregedoria-Geral da Justiça, leading to a recommendation by Judge José Luiz Leite Lindote to suspend the removals. Russi has stated his intention to seek state government resources and potential legislative changes to resolve the housing impasse permanently.
