Cassandre Beaugrand wins WTCS Weihai triathlon

Cassandre Beaugrand secured victory at the WTCS Weihai triathlon, maintaining her undefeated streak and taking the lead in the World Triathlon Championship Series standings. The women's race featured a high-stakes showdown between three world champions, with Beaugrand pulling away in the final kilometer of the run to finish in 1:49:20.

Beth Potter took second place, finishing six seconds behind the winner, while Lisa Tertsch rounded out the podium in third, 24 seconds behind Beaugrand. The race was decided during the 10km run after a large group remained competitive through the swimming and cycling stages.

In the men's category, Max Studer claimed victory, followed by David Cantero in second and Tyler Mislawchuk in third. The event in China serves as one of the final opportunities for athletes to accumulate points ahead of the Grand Final in Pontevedra.
