Max Verstappen identifies Isack Hadjar as potential Red Bull successor

Max Verstappen has expressed his hope that Isack Hadjar will eventually succeed him at Red Bull Racing. The four-time Formula 1 world champion noted that while Hadjar is still very young, he has been a part of the Red Bull driver program for some time and has been observing team operations long before his promotion to the main team in 2026.

Verstappen emphasized that Red Bull’s philosophy has always centered on identifying and developing new talent to ensure the team's continuity, stating, “At some point, you need to bring new talents to the team, so they can take over this role.”

In recent discussions, Hadjar has also provided insights into the team's technical standing. Despite Red Bull's recent victories in Malaysia and Singapore, Hadjar suggested that the RB22 is not necessarily the fastest car on the grid and remains difficult to drive. He remarked that if Verstappen had been driving a Ferrari in Singapore, the margin of victory might have been even greater.
