Max Verstappen rules out bringing Verstappen Racing to Formula 1
Max Verstappen has clarified his long-term vision for his motorsport project, Verstappen Racing, stating that he has no intention of bringing the team into Formula 1. Founded in 2022, the team has primarily focused on GT3 and endurance racing, including participation in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
Verstappen explained that managing an F1 team would be "too demanding," noting that the schedule of 24 races a year combined with the responsibilities of team ownership would be overwhelming. Instead, he aims to develop Verstappen Racing into a professional outfit that consistently competes for victories in various endurance racing classes over the next 10 to 20 years.
"Verstappen Racing will not participate in racing just because we enjoy doing it. We want to be in the leading position, win races, and at least consistently compete at the front," Verstappen stated regarding the team's competitive standards.
