Max Verstappen to face 100 competitors in Silverstone go-kart challenge

Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen is set to participate in a special racing event titled ‘Max vs 100’, scheduled for September 16 at the Silverstone circuit in the United Kingdom. The event, facilitated by Disney+, will feature 101 go-karts starting simultaneously on the track.

Verstappen will compete against a diverse field of 100 opponents, including Red Bull athletes, social media creators, streamers, and various media personalities. The challenge follows a format where Verstappen must start from the back and overtake his competitors one by one. The race will utilize 390 cc karts capable of reaching speeds of 129 km/h.

To manage the scale of the event, former karting world champion David Terrien has been tasked with track planning. The competition aims to return to the fundamental roots of racing that shaped Verstappen’s early career, focusing on raw driving skill and physical intuition rather than modern F1 technological assistance.
