Max Verstappen to face 100 drivers in Silverstone kart race

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is set to compete in a unique kart race at Silverstone against 100 participants. The event, which has secured broadcasting rights through Disney+, will feature a diverse field of competitors, including content creators, influencers, athletes, and various racing drivers.

Verstappen has indicated he has not undertaken any specific preparation for the challenge. He stated that he intends to “turn up at Silverstone and [s]get on with it,” emphasizing a relaxed attitude toward the event. Due to the race format, the four-time world champion will be required to start from the back of the grid and must overtake all 100 rivals over the course of 30 laps.

Fellow driver Carlos Sainz commented on the difficulty of the task, noting that based on his own experience in reverse-grid kart races, Verstappen might be able to take the lead within 15 to 20 laps.
