Max Verstappen urges Dutch government to support motorsport

Verstappen cited the decline of motorsport in Germany following Michael Schumacher's retirement as a cautionary tale. He noted that without continued investment in young talent and institutional support, the momentum can vanish. He also highlighted the challenges faced by German racing, such as strict environmental regulations that can conflict with the interests of major automotive manufacturers.

Despite uncertainty regarding the future of the Dutch Grand Prix due to stalled contract negotiations, Verstappen expressed that the motorsport scene remains vibrant. He emphasized the importance of fostering new talent so that the sport can thrive independently of any single driver.
