Max Wood joins Hull FC on season-long loan
Hull FC has confirmed the signing of Warrington Wolves prop Max Wood on a season-long loan for the 2027 campaign. The 22-year-old returns to the club for his third loan spell, having previously made five appearances for the Black and Whites during 2026.
The agreement includes no recall option for Warrington, meaning Wood will remain at Hull FC for the full season and is eligible to play against his parent club. Wood will reunite with Steve McNamara, who takes over as Hull FC head coach for 2027.
Wood becomes the ninth recruit for Hull FC ahead of the 2027 season. He joins a roster that includes Bailey Hodgson, Daly Cherry-Evans, Alrix Da Costa, Isaac Liu, Jordan Swann, Josh Coric, Junior Pauga, and Connor Barley.
