Maxi Dolphin shipyard engulfed in large fire in Erbusco

A major fire broke out late Monday night, August 24, at the Maxi Dolphin shipyard located within the Moretti spa complex in the Villa Pedergnano district of Erbusco, Italy. The facility, which specializes in manufacturing fiberglass boat hulls, was engulfed in high flames that produced a dense column of black smoke visible from several kilometers away.

Firefighters deployed multiple units to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to an adjacent warehouse containing highly flammable polystyrene. While the fire was massive in scale, no injuries have been reported. Local police, Carabinieri, and emergency medical services responded to the scene. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities noted that securing the area would require extensive work.
