Maxi Iglesias criticizes Telecinco scheduling as ‘Ella, maldita alma’ concludes
Actor Maxi Iglesias has expressed criticism toward the Spanish television network Telecinco regarding the late broadcast schedule for the series ‘Ella, maldita alma’. Following the conclusion of the show’s run on the network, Iglesias used social media to thank viewers for their loyalty despite the series airing after 23:15.
Iglesias remarked that at the start of the series, he believed the late time slot meant “no one would watch it.” While the show averaged a 7% audience share on Telecinco, Iglesias noted that the series has found significant success on the streaming platform Movistar Plus+, where it has become one of the most-watched options due to viewers being able to choose their own viewing times.
The series, based on a story by Manuel Rivas, concluded its narrative arc involving characters in the fictional town of La Isleta. The final episodes resolved the fates of the protagonists, including the character Fermín, played by Iglesias, who decides to become a missionary in Ukraine.
