Maxima identified as low-price leader in Latvia survey

A survey conducted by the research center SKDS has identified Maxima as the leader in low prices according to Latvian residents. The study shows that 33% of respondents perceive Maxima as having the lowest prices, followed by LIDL at 24%, RIMI at 3%, and TOP at 3%.

In addition to overall price perception, Maxima was also recognized for having the most advantageous regular prices for everyday goods and the lowest promotional sale prices, cited by 39% of respondents. SKDS Director Arnis Kaktiņš noted that these perceptions are built through long-term consistency rather than short-term campaigns, as consumers often compare prices across multiple retailers.

The results highlight a consumer trend where shoppers prioritize both promotional deals and stable regular pricing to achieve long-term savings.
