Maxime Raynaud suffers knee injury during Kings preseason game

Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud sustained a right knee injury during a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors. The 23-year-old French player was forced to leave the court in a wheelchair after a collision while setting a screen for Darius Acuff Jr.

Initial concerns regarding potential ligament damage were mitigated by subsequent medical evaluations. Raynaud was diagnosed with a right patellar subluxation, a partial displacement of the kneecap. Tests confirmed there were no ligament ruptures or tears. The Kings announced that Raynaud will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks, though he is expected to miss the start of the regular season.

Prior to the injury, Raynaud had recorded 10 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one block in nine minutes of play. The game also marked the Kings' debut for Ben Simmons, who recorded seven points in nine minutes of action.
