Maximo Quiles Wins Red-Flagged Moto3 Hungarian Grand Prix as David Muñoz Suffers Pelvis Fracture

The Moto3 race at Balaton Park in Hungary was halted with a red flag after a multi‑bike crash on the final lap. Spanish rider David Muñoz fractured his pelvis when he collided with Álvaro Carpe and was subsequently taken to surgery, though he remained conscious throughout the incident.

Maximo Quiles recovered from a recent setback to secure his fifth victory of the season, extending his lead in the world championship. David Almansa started from pole and finished second, while Carpe completed the podium. The crash also involved Hakim Danish, Ruche Moodley and others, prompting race control to end the event.

The accident adds to Muñoz's recent injury history, following a femur fracture earlier in the year, and will require another period of recovery before he can return to competition.
