Maxus expands pickup truck lineup with new diesel models

Maxus is expanding its pickup truck portfolio with the introduction of new diesel-powered models in different markets.

In China, the Maxus Interstellar X features a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine producing 224 CV and 520 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, a 4x4 all-wheel-drive system, and a towing capacity of 3.5 tons. It utilizes independent suspension on both axles and includes off-road features such as the Super Select 4WD system with electronic differential locks.

In Panama, the brand presented the Maxus T70 at the Panama Motor Show 2026. This model also utilizes a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine with a 4WD configuration and an automatic transmission. The T70 offers a towing capacity of up to 2,500 kilograms and includes a 12.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Safety features for the T70 include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
