Maxus launches T60 diesel pickup truck in Europe

Maxus, a subsidiary of SAIC, has launched the T60, a new double-cabin diesel pickup truck, in the European market. The vehicle is positioned to compete in the utility segment by offering a balance of off-road capability and SUV-like comfort at a competitive price point.

The T60 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 163 hp (120 kW) and 400 Nm of torque. It features an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission and a BorgWarner manual-command four-wheel-drive system with 2H, 4H, and 4L modes. Standard equipment includes a rear differential lock, providing enhanced traction for difficult terrain.

Key technical specifications include a payload capacity of over 1,000 kg, a towing capacity of 3,500 kg, and a ground clearance of 220 mm. The vehicle has a wading depth of 550 mm and an approach angle of 29 degrees. The manufacturer reports a combined WLTP fuel consumption of 8.8 L/100 km and CO2 emissions of 231 g/km.
