Various collegiate athletic programs in Iowa are preparing for upcoming seasons and schedules.

Iowa State men’s golf has announced its 2026-27 schedule, which includes 11 regular-season tournaments and participation in the Big 12 and NCAA Championships. The season begins in mid-September at the Bearcat Invitational.

In field hockey, the University of Iowa Hawkeyes are set to compete in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in North Carolina, facing Wake Forest and North Carolina. The team enters the season ranked No. 11 in the preseason NFHCA poll.

Iowa State football is preparing for its season opener against Southeast Missouri State, with attention on sophomore running back Aiden Flora. Meanwhile, the Iowa State women’s soccer team prepares for a Cy-Hawk matchup against the University of Iowa.

In volleyball, Iowa State will host the Cyclone Invite at Hilton Coliseum, featuring matches against Loyola-Chicago and Georgia Tech. Additionally, Iowa Central’s cross country programs are entering a rebuilding phase following their previous national success, with the men’s team looking to defend their title.
