Maxx Crosby trade interest involves Rams and Raiders

The Los Angeles Rams reportedly pursued Las Vegas Raiders defensive star Maxx Crosby during the spring, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The Rams monitored Crosby’s situation after a proposed trade to the Baltimore Ravens collapsed due to concerns regarding a knee procedure Crosby underwent in January.

Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler, recently signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with the Raiders that runs through 2029. While the Rams eventually acquired Myles Garrett, interest in Crosby highlighted Los Angeles’ efforts to secure a premier edge rusher.

On the prediction market Kalshi, there is currently a 69% probability that Crosby will remain with the Raiders. The Dallas Cowboys are noted as the only other team with a significant chance (15%) of acquiring him, especially as they have restructured contracts to create approximately $33 million in cap space. Analysts suggest the month of September may serve as an audition for the league to assess Crosby's health following his recent injury recovery.
