Maxx Royal to open first international luxury resort in Maldives

Maxx Royal Resorts is expanding internationally with its first project outside of Turkey, Maxx Royal Maldives, scheduled to open in the autumn of 2027. Owned by Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the super-luxury development will be located in the Kaafu Atoll of the Indian Ocean.

Spanning 115,000 square meters, the resort will deviate from the traditional single-island model by utilizing five interconnected islands. The project includes 250 villas, including a private island featuring 41 villas designed for maximum privacy and personalized service.

The resort will offer high-end gastronomy with signature menus from world-renowned chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Dani García. Additional features include wellness and recovery programs, and a focus on sustainability to protect the local ecosystem.
