May Pang documentary explores John Lennon’s relationship
The documentary film “The Lost Weekend: A Love Story” (also known as “John Lennon’s Secret Love: May Pang”) provides an account of the 18-month period between 1973 and 1975 when John Lennon lived with his assistant, May Pang.
During this time, Lennon paused his relationship with Yoko Ono. This era, which Lennon referred to as his “Lost Weekend,” was a highly productive solo phase for the former Beatle, despite his personal struggles with alcohol and partying in Los Angeles alongside Harry Nilsson.
The 2021 American documentary is scheduled for its German premiere on ARTE on October 23.
